Rahael Koshy Jalan received her PhD in mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n She has over 25 years experience teaching mathematics to university students. She recognized that many students who entered university programs struggled with the basic concepts in math needed to successfully complete first year university level math courses.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Rahael\u2019s efforts to provide a means for enabling students to succeed in Mathematics resulted in the creation of the <\/strong><\/span>\u201cThe Language of Mathematics\u201d books and the \u201cMath Yes We Can\u201d program.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n The success of students in the math program in Canada triggered its expansion to township students in South Africa.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Inspired by the success of the math program in Canada and South Africa, the expansion of the program to India was initiated in 2016.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Rahael Koshy Jalan received her PhD in mathematics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
